A Picnic Party
ESSAY FOR EXAMS PREPARATION
A picnic can be defined as an outing for joy.In the busy routine life, man has no time to spend in the company of nature.People work the whole day. They take no interest in the forms off beauty. In this state of affairs, an outing is necessary to make life enjoyable. After such an activity, we find a new zeal in every thing we do. So such activities are inevitable to promote our efficiency for work.

A picnic can also be defined as "an excursion for joy and recreation."In this hurly-burly world of tumult and turmoil, people become in soul and drab in spirit.Round the clock they are engrossed in materialistic pursuits. They feed their big bellies but do nothing for their vexed souls. They have confined themselves to the small stinging nooks of the houses or the offices. They toil from dawn to dusk to make loads of money.Life has become flat, boring and monotonous for them. They spare no time to enjoy a fresh nutritious breath. They have no time to spend in the company of balmy nature. They do not bother to enlighten their souls and illumine their brains. They have become almost unresponsive, insensitive and apathetic about beauty, grace and glamour. They have lost their taste for aestheticism. They find nature to be dull in soul and drab in color. In such a grim situation,an excursion proves to be an amazing antidote to counter the venomous effects of tedium and ennui.

My friends and I decided to spend a Sunday on the bank of the Indus river. The idea of enjoying ripe mangoes on the bank of a river attracted us so much that we finalized the program in no time. All of us were eager and excited. On the following Sunday, we started on our bikes towards the destination. The sky was overcast. The cool breeze was fanning on our faces. We felt very happy and excited. Its was simply a pleasant ride.
When we reached the destination,we placed our things under a cool shady tree.We put one the life jackets and jumped into the river. We felt very happy in the cool water off the river.Soon,Its began to drizzle which added to our joy.It was a wonderful feeling of joy and pleasure. We spent some time in water. Then we felt hungry and came out of the water. The ripe and sweet mangoes became our appetite .We enjoyed them to our fill.

After taking some rest,we again jumped into the river. We started the competition of swimming, driving and rowing. After sometime,we decided to have lunch. We enjoyed ourselves much. After having lunch,we played cards for sometime. We turned on the music player and sang songs. After sometimes,we felt tired and lay down on a mat to take rest.Soon,we were fast asleep. In the evening we woke up.We packed our luggage and got ready to return.Eventually,it began to rain heavily. This was really a wonderful day to be memorized.

FOR SYLHET'S STUDENTS

It was the month of December. My examination was over. I along with my friends decided to go on a picnic. It was a thrilling idea. We all were excited. We decided to go to a tea-garden in Sylhet. The garden was the home land of a friend. It was a short journey. We gathered at our school premises. We started our journey in the morning and reached the garden at about 10:00 A.M. We selected an open space which was shaded by trees. Then we proceeded to make arrangements for cooking our food. We brought all the equipment with us. Rima wa in charge of cooking. We all assisted her. It took only two hours to prepare the delicious dished. After taking our food and making a lot of enjoyments, we decided to return. We talked and danced gaily, we sang merrily, we laughed. In fact, we enjoyed th picnic very much. Before evening we got ready to start back. We also enjoyed on our way back home.
