Television programs in general and drama in particular have always fascinated me a lot. I should frankly admit that upto class 8 I would spend much of my time watching different programs. But now i am selective and see only what suits my taste.

I know that watching television for long is harmful for the eye-sight. Too much exposure to the flickering light damages the sight. Sitting before the set in an awkward position also causes pain in limbs. Neck bone and shoulders are also badly affected.

What i like most on television is "the world of nature". No other program can be that wonderful. Each program on nature, animals and landscape gives me a glimpse of the beautiful world. I feel like discovering the world in which i live,i feel i know very little of the vast world of wonderful forms. "the world of nature" program gives me a lot of information and understanding. Creation of so many moving objects is one of the sure signs of Allah almighty. One of the divine names of Allah is "Al-Musawwir". He is the creator, the painter, the originator of so many forms of beauty and their perfect proportions. "the national geographic" programs on television always bring to me a new glimpse of natural beauty.i love it. It is amazing indeed.

Television is a real wonder and one of the most important inventions of Modern Science. It is an important medium effectively shaping the destiny of the people.

Television with its imaginative programs can reach the people and make them see what is good for them and how they should attain the goal of prosperity.

The network of television i s have significant influence on the life of common people. The television programs are found to be catering to the needs of a large section of the people. The vast majority living in the cities, towns and villages and those in the district towns are using television. That makes it a symbol of status in the society.

Some television programs may have some educating values, but by and large these programs are stereotyped and the least imaginative, showing little interest in the process of regeneration.

Quaid-e-azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

<br /> BEST ESSAY "QUAID-e-AZAM"<br />

The brightest star of the history of Pakistan is Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It was the will of Allah, that the physically weakling son of Poonjah Jinnah would one day be the founder of Pakistan. He was born in Karachi on December 25,1876.

After his matriculation,he was sent to England for higher studies. He distinguished himself over there as a keen and upright student. He qualified from the Lincoln's Inn as a brilliant barrister. On his return to India he joined the Indian national congress. He was an ardent supporter of the Hindu-Muslim unity. But the narrow vision of certain communal leaders disappointed him. He decided to join the Muslim league. He inspired the Muslims of India with his glorious vision. He worked hard for a separate homeland for the Muslims. The odds were against him. The Hindus, the British and a section of the Muslims were hostile to him. But he grappled with every problem. His aim was high. He soared like an eagle. He organized the party. The Muslims rallied round him;the hostile forces had to be at a retreat.

Qauid-e-Azam was a great champion of freedom for the people of India. When he realized that the congress was a neo-Hindu body and stood for ram raj,he resigned and joined the all India Muslim league in 1922. He had been greatest spokesman of the Indian Muslims for a separate state for them.

By 1930 he became an undisputed leader of the Muslims. Soon he began to recognize the Indian Muslim league all over India. People gave him the title of Quaid-e-Azam for his selfless services for the Muslim cause freedom and creation of Pakistan.

Mr.Jinnah's integrity of character was beyond reproach. Gandhi called him an impossible man,for he would never compromise on principles. He stood like a rock against his opponents. He united the defeated groups of Muslims into a force to reckon with. From 1940 (the year of Pakistan resolution) till his death on 11th September, 1948,Quaid-e-Azam worked day and night for strengthening the Muslim league. It was due to his untiring efforts and wise leadership that Pakistan came into being. Had there been no intelligent, highly disciplined, hard working,supremely,self-confident,driven by the dream and drove others.

He advised the whole nation to work. He said, "work, work and work". He put the same thing into practice. Quaid-e-Azam was a great orator. Everybody used to listen him very carefully. He was a hardworking and industrious person. At last due to his efforts, he succeeded to create a new homeland for the Muslims of India.

August 14,1947 was the day of his triumph. Pakistan appeared on the map of the world. He took oath of office as the first governor general of the new country.

Physically, the Quaid-e-Azam was a weak and thin person. His health was not good. But on the other hand, he was a man of strong will. He had to face a large number of problems and hardships but he remained firm to his stand. The English and Hindus could not succeed to win him over. He always showed strong will power at all occasions. He was as firm as a rock. He was a man of courage. He was also a brave man and fearless leader.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the Quaid-e-Azam in the true sense of the word. His health had been breaking down under a heavy pressure of work. He died in Karachi on September 11,1948. But founders and heroes like him never die.do they?

Over-population

<br /> BEST ESSAY "OVER POPULATION"<br />

It is an admitted fact that most of the countries are over populated today. Over populated places a heavy burden on the economy of a country. Currently, the world has become well aware of the gravity of the problem. Though a plenty of measures have been taken to control the birth rate, the crisis still persists.

The causes of over-population are many and diverse. The primary cause of over-population is sex-attraction. Media is a sure means to develop this attraction. Dirty movies replete with half-naked girls awaken a strong desire for sex. The youth, when observe these movies, are engaged in illicit sex. Sometime they get married at an early and begin producing children.

The second reason pertains to breast-feeding. Science has proved that chances of pregnancy in those women who suckle their babies are less. But the modern women suppose that suckling would mar their feminine beauty. They detest feeding their babies with milk from their breasts. As a result, they get pregnant soon again. This tendency leads to over population.

The population of Pakistan is growing rapidly. Pakistan is a poor country. Its economy cannot bear the burden of a large population. There are many causes of this rapid increase. The most obvious cause is ignorance. About 80% of our population lives in villages. They usually do not know the contraceptives. Moreover, they have not yet realized the gravity of the problem. Rather, they think that the production of more children proves their masculine power.

The pace of population growth is so quick that even draconian restrictions of childbirth, pandemics or a third world war would still leave the world with too many people for the planet to sustain, according to a study. Rather than reducing the number of people, cutting the consumption of natural resources and enhanced recycling would have a better chance of achieving effective sustainability gains in the next 85 years.

In villages, marriages are held at an early age. There people keep on producing children till old age;and they do not get old until they have produced dozens of children. They do not bother to educate them or to give them any professional or technical training. These children are a burden not only on their family but also on the economy of the country. To check this rapid growth of population, urgent steps are needed. I suggest the following steps to be taken in this regard.

Human population growth is becoming a huge issue in our world today. The population is increasing rapidly. The reason that it is becoming a concern is because it has affected the economic, environmental, and social aspects of our world. In the film frontline: heat,we can see how there might not be a future for our planet unless we are able to reduce the emissions and make our world a safe place. Not only for the present but also for future generations so that they are able to live long and healthy lives.

An increase in human population can influence our economy. Some of the factors that are affected are unemployment, poverty and the restriction of economic expansion. When the population increases, the cost of health, education, and other areas of urban growth are affected.

Overpopulation is a major issue all around the world. If population continues to grow at the current rate our planet will be unable to sustain its population.

Overpopulation also leads to shortage of resources such as crops and water. Overpopulation also affects the standard of living of people.

Lack of money makes it very difficult for people to survive in this world. In overpopulated country people die due to lack of fundamental resources like health care, food and water.

Major consequences of overpopulation

  • Lack of food to eat
  • Lack of quality of air to breathe
  • Lack of oil, gas and petroleum
  • Depletion of Ozone layer
  • Overcrowding
  • Deforestation
  • Limits on water consumption
  • Habitat destruction
  • Habitat fragmentation
  • Extinction of species
  • Noise pollution
  • Unemployment
  • Corruption
  • Inflation
  • Soil contamination
  • Global warming

The government should make laws to prevent early marriages. The maximum number of the children should be declared. Reward should be given to the couples who produce fewer children. Government jobs should be conditioned with the less production of children. Population welfare department should be made more effective and efficient. The awareness of the benefits of family panning should be fostered. Medicine for the prevention of conception should be distributed free among women. Mobile teams should be organized to persuade people to use the contraceptives. If the government is sincere to control the rapid growth of population,it should take solid measures in this regard.
