Leadership
Leadership
Leadership is a term on which no one can develop a mutual consensus as it carries a different meaning for ach individual. Some people may consider a person as their leader who is capable of taking them away from hardships, some people may consider the one as their leader who is quite charismatic and can show them dreams of a bright future or some people may consider that man as a leader who can make them progress by devising wise strategies for them etc. There is,somehow, something is very common in all the perspectives that are the philosophy behind the definition, which is related to choosing a best of the best person as their leader.Nobody wants to have a person as their leader who doesn't have knowledge of the needs and aspirations of his people or who is not blessed with a certain temperament foe bearing hardships for the nation etc.

The responsibilities of a leader are very demanding. One of the greatest responsibilities that a leader will have is to inform his subordinates about the dangers of drug use.A leader must know his people and be able to have trust in his men to accomplish a mission or do a simple task without the fear or doubt that something will keep his men from succeeding.Drugs will cause that downfall of a leader and can lead to situation when human life is sacrificed.Another responsibility that a leader has is to uphold the standard of the unit and not demonstrate bad examples and in the end will result in the downfall of his or her respect.Another aspect that a good leader should have and demonstrate is that of a good citizen.A leadership should portray the highest level of citizenship.Being a good citizen means obeying the laws of the community you live in and enforcing them to a certain degree as well. The use of drugs is illegal nation wide and so a leader is not setting the proper example or being a good citizen if he or she participates in the use, sale, or is associated with drugs.A leader should not order or tell his subordinates to do anything in which he can not do or does himself. If a leader explains the hazards of drug use and why not to use or be associated with them he should follow his or her advice. This leads right into how to communicate with ones subordinates on how not to and why not to use drugs. When a presenting something he or she should make means of all possible resources that are available.A leader responsibility is to inform his or her people on the necessary information. The leader though leader needs to present the information in a way that the attention of individuals receiving the information are not bored and that they obtain the information that is going to be presented he or she is going to have research it.A leader should be even more familiar with the information that is going to be covered than his subordinates. The use of available resources such as video cassettes, pamphlets, or charts as an excellent way to present information in a way that is clear and precise. When giving a presentation or talk on drugs many leaders will use a variety of techniques to get the desired point or effect across. There are a number of techniques such the scar tactic, the cause and effect tactic, and the symphatic tactic. All of the tactics are very popular and generally will get the point across.A leader will be most successful when he can combine all three of these tactics in to one presentation. When a leader accomplishes this he or she will have learned and successfully completed how to communicate and present inform to his or her subordinates.A leader also has the responsibility of insuring that his or her subordinates are in the top condition for the job they are assigned.A leader can not honestly say that his or her men and women are in top shape for their job if they partake in drug use. There is not a single drug today that is produced that does not have some form of a effect on the human body. Many will argue that there is but is scientific research that supports this.Another aspect that a leader should recognize is by letting his or her people use drugs he or she is giving permission to them to place everyone life in danger to some point. In meant situations where total mind concentration and physical control is required a individual will be unsuccessful if he or she uses drugs.A leader has many many responsibilities but a few of the biggest that he or she is responsible for is to insure that the lives of the individuals around him or her safe, well informed by different means of communication, and are best suited for the situations in which they are placed.

Leadership is a process by which a person influences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent(Clark, 1997).Leaders carry out this process by applying their leadership attributes, such as beliefs, values, ethics, character, knowledge, and skills.Bass' (1989 & 1990)theory of leadership states that there are three basic ways to explain how people become leaders. These theories are, some personality traits may lead people naturally into leadership roles. This is the Trait Theory;a crisis or important event may cause a person to rise to the occasion, which brings out extraordinary leadership qualities in an ordinary person. This is the Great Events Theory;people can choose to become leaders.People can learn leadership skills. The basis of good leadership is honorable character and selfless service to the organization. This is the Transformational Leadership Theory. It is the most widely accepted theory today.

Leaders of the world and of any country particular plays most important role to achieve genuine happiness of its people.Goos and capable leads its people and country to a peace and prosperity, while the cruel and incapable leader bring people to the world of sufferings and ultimately ruin country.Leader must not only be educated and experienced but it is important to be a compassionate and sensible to the problems faced by their people.Leaders of the government should win the trust of people being strategically friendly avoiding any kind of provocation or war with neighboring countries and must also allow a degree of transparency in the day to day working and the governance of the country.

When we select our commanders,we expect them to create a vision, motivate and inspire their people toward their vision. We also expect our commanders to face squarely any situations that may undermine unit effectiveness and cohesion. We expect them to be leaders and to be accountable for mission performance. Those who recognize the interdependence of leadership and command are the most effective commanders, can best translate intentions to reality, and sustain momentum. Therefore,we must select for command those who will, with resolve and persistence, meet all the responsibilities??pleasant and unpleasant??inherent in command. These are the most important, but not all of,the qualities you need to be a leader. Some characteristics may be more naturally present in the personality of a leader. However, each of these characteristics can also be developed and strengthened.A good leader whether they naturally possess these qualities or not, will be diligent to consistently develop and strengthen them in their leadership role.

Throughout time great men of premium quality have risen and fallen.Great leaders have prompted others to do great things by the words they spoke, lives they lived, and the examples they set.The integrity of a man can cause empires to rise and our foes to crumple.

Leadership is studied and analyzed so that the effective practices can be taught and applied in today's organizations. The concept of leadership has been expanded to discuss follower's role in the leader-follower relationship. While leading is often considered an active role, following can have a negative connotation, especially when seen as a passive, subordinate position. However, following can be a choice, and the difference between the leader and follower is the activities, rather than abilities. An organization possesses effective followers is just as important for success as having effective leaders.Hersey and Blanchard describe this relationship as dynamic and use Situational leadership(R) as a model for the leader's to improve the performance of their followers.Manz and Sims describe a historical view of leader types which has evolved to view the superleader as the most effective type for our current culture. The role of the superleader is to empower followers to become self-leaders themselves. The Situational Leadership model may contain the word "Leadership",but it is mostly about effective management practices and doe snot address developing the role of the follower.

Robert Kelley suggests that the leader-follower relationship needs to be redefined to be seen as equals.More focus should be placed into training and cultivating effective followers, not just on the leaders, since their desired qualities are practically the same.He also suggests performance evaluations and feedback. The most significant proposal Kelley makes is for organizations to encourage followership in their structure. He recommends variations in leadership structure, such as smaller leaderless group, so that the all members carry equal responsibilities.Understanding the differences in role of the leader and follower are experienced with rotating or temporary leadership.Ideally, followers learn what its like to be in the shoes of the leader, plus followers learn how they can compensate, however the experience learned can empower the followers and motivate them, which is consistent with the superleader type.Superleaders must allow room for mistakes or even to encourage risk-taking(Wren, p.219).

A leader has to know about the human nature and be able to direct people reducing the group's doubts about succeeding. Some people believe that a leader is born that way and there is no way, practicing or studying,to create a leader. They are wrong because inside of each and every one of us there is a leader waiting to be awake and holding on an opportunity to come out.A leader is capable of influencing and inspiring the people around him to voluntarily commit towards accomplishing a certain goal. There are different types of leadership people who specialize in trying to understand this important phenomenon. The only kind of leadership in which a person communicates true self are by way resonates with other people. This behavior is highly individual and situational for both the leader and follower and therefore there are a huge variety of ways in which effective relationship occurs. On top of that, when we think about the characteristic of a leader,we often think of leaders that are dynamic, which makes each of us to follow. We could take an example, such as Hitler. He did not have the values that we should follow, but he had that inspiration for the country to follow. If we also stop to think about the leaders today,we do not get the same vision of a leader that has a dynamism that is hard to resist, but rather a leader that has a good quality. The characteristics of a leader are not behaviors that will be new to those that strive to master them.Developing a good leadership skills take time, very few people will have the skills to become the great leaders. Thus, there are many types of characteristic of being a good and efficient leader.A good leader is confident in doing everything.

Successful people are the best time managers. They carefully check out the time frame within which they have to achieve their objectives. No matter what comes in their way, they do not stop from sticking to these timelines.Either it's their family, friends or commitments they do not compromise on their schedule and will manage in completing all planned activities within the time planned. They precaution not to be interrupted and if such circumstances arise, they go ahead with what they had originally planned. This shows that they are focused in accomplishing great tasks. The next qualities of a successful person are how the goal is or the route to achieving it,they never give up.They face every obstacle head on.Success is everywhere.People who earn their respect and reputation are successful, and people can reach their goal by their endeavor are also successful.Success is a happiness of every one's life. Thus, these are the qualities that I feel justified in calling an individual as a successful person.
