Persuasive Essay Topic-Educational Studies

<br /> Essay on Persuasive Essay Topics<br />

Persuasive Essay

Persuasive writing, also known as the argument essay, utilizes logic and reasons to show that one idea is more legitimate than another idea.It attempts to persuade a reader to adopt a certain point of view or to take a particular action.

Persuasive essay topic:Educational Studies

read how to write persuasive essay

I read the article "Another Look at what young Children Should Be learning" because the title interested me,how do we decide what to teach and when?Who controls the standards for a school? Is it up to the teacher or is it something that the teachers were told to teach? In many cases I understand that it is a mixture of both the teachers influence and what the teacher is required to do.This makes me think back to my own experiences in school, being taught different thing and now I think, why was I taught that? This article came up with some very interesting points about education.

read essay on Gender Roles in Society

Some of these things that I read in the article I can directly relate to my own experience. In my high school and junior high we always had learning goals. They would come up with acronyms to help us remember them and make us do project involving them.In high school they were called the Eslers, what it stood for escapes me now.I guess the school thought it was a good idea to make sure that every classroom had these learning goals posted on the wall.I thought that was always a little silly, but I can't think of a better way of using them.It never really helped me personally but I could see how it could help others.

Learning though interaction at a young age was also mentioned in the article,I have memories of this in use as well.In my elementary school we would always have these weird things that would be secretly teaching us something.Like our first grade teacher introduced us to algebra in a way.He drew this machine on the board, and then he said that he is putting a number in one side. Then he showed us what came out the other side, and we had to figure out what the machine did.He let us put in different numbers, and it was fun.If I become a teacher I hope that I could be that creative when it comes to teaching.

read essay on Minorities in Pakistan

In the article they talk about how some methods of teaching could be good in the short run test scores, but not in the long run education of the student. They say that the amount of drills and practice in reading is a good way to teach reading, but could undermine the students' disposition toward reading. This is an interesting paradox. The best way of teaching a child a skill could make him not want to use the skill. This should make us reconsider some teaching methods.

Also talked about in the article the way that younger children respond to a wider variety of teaching methods. You cannot use a single teaching method to a very diverse group of students without leaving some behind.I remember some of this in my early school experience, but not a lot. They would rather have you confirm to a neat little group rather than be an individual.I also remember time sin elementary school where I felt left behind in the teaching, but didn't want to say anything. If I become a teacher I would want to address things like this,we can't have it happening. How do you stop it though,no matter what you cannot make a perfect teaching system for every child? That is why there is so much controversy in education, what methods work best and whose test scores are higher. What is comes down to though is each teacher should do their personal best to educate and help their students.

Why Education is Important

<br /> Education Importance<br />

Many students around the world today focus mainly one thing while they are in school,Career and income, but how do you achieve that? How does one get the career they want and income they yearn? The answer is education several countries are known for their exceptional performance in academics and pressure related to their education.Among those countries are China,India and Japan. These three countries share a lot in common, exceptionally bright students and a very rigorous education system that showers students with pressure from parents to perform exceptional in school.Anita Desai, who is the author of Studies in the Park, shows us how the much education is important in India.Studies in the Park is about a young man named Suno.Suno is ready to apply for college, but before he goes into college,he must pass the entrance exams for his college.Suno undergoes pressure from his parents to study hard and pass the entrance exams.Suno is always reminded from his parents that he expects good results from him and he should just be studying.Suno starts to fed up with all the talks and his loud home,so he tries and finds a a new place to go and study; The Park,At the park he meets other students who are just like him;tired of all the noise at home and fed up from their parents nagging at them to study.Anita Desai's Studies in the Park undoubtly connects with the importance of education worldwide, pressure placed on students for education and the pressure for incentives offered for education globally. Many students are constantly faced with the same problem everyday:Education.Desai showed emphasis on the pressure that students from India face and how expectations rise every year.Desai's story may have been a replica of her very own young life because she focused on one's own belief in education and freedom to choose for one's own future career.

Students that are living in highly populated countries understand the importance of education far greater than students that are living in countries with extra amenities and a lot of neighborhoods. In Desai's Studies in the park, the main character Suno was always told by his parents that education was thought that Suno's parents had is very similar to Obama's thoughts. On September 8,2009 Obama gave a special speech at the Wakefield High School located in Arlington,VA.In the speech Obama mentioned that education will always be need regardless of what we wish to do in life after school. Many students today start to understand the importance of education when they are in their junior or senior year of High School.According to a College View many students start to question themselves why a college education is important for them, and why furthering their education will benefit them. After they find the answer to their question they start to find opportunities for a college education.Education is not just important to students, but also for lawmakers and professors.Education has proven to make an individual a better person in life and more successful than someone who has limited education.

Imagine a world without schools and colleges!Impossible, right? No matter how much we hate waking up early for school or studying all night for those tests and exams,we all know that education is very important. Now,I ma not saying that an uneducated man has no chance of being successful or an uneducated man will surely do well in life.Exceptions are always there. However most of us will agree that an educated person gets better opportunities in life.It is easier for him to become successful and realize his dreams as compared to someone who is uneducated.Other than success and economic prosperity, there are various other reasons why education is almost necessity in today's world.

Social work for students

<br /> AN ESSAY FOR EXAMS<br />

Students in a developing country like ours can and should work for social and national progress.

Firstly, our students, especially in the colleges and universities ,can educate the uneducated people. They can engage in a universal education program, which ,may be arranged or sponsored by the government and rich industrialists, businessmen and landlords.Classes for children and adults can be arranged in schools, colleges, suitable government buildings, specially erected structures in open places and even in certain parks, gardens and fields. The students should teach not just to earn money but more to serve their dear nation and country. They should understand clearly that unless most or all of our people get educated,we cannot join the family of advanced or developed nations.

Secondly, students can take part in social welfare activities for general social progress.A wing of the Social Welfare Department may advise the different categories for our students about the work they can perform in their respective fields. For example, the advanced university students can be asked to visit the inner city areas and villages to advise the people about the need for family planning or birth control. They can be asked to explain to the common people in the frank talks or through speeches at crowded public places the benefits of honest living. The people should be made to feel that in business.Politics and in private and public dealings honesty brings real success.Junior students of colleges and high schools can engage in physical welfare work like road repairs and general cleanliness of the parks and grounds.

Thirdly, the senior students can assist the law-enforcing agencies in their work. For example, they can make reports to price-control agencies about the high prices charged by shopkeepers. They can bring cases of corruption in government offices to the notice of the anti-corruption department. They can help the police in their action against anti-state elements like drug-addicts,criminals and smugglers.

Further, male students can join boy scouts' squads and female students join girl guides' squads to provide different facilities to the people in an organized manner.

It is the need of the hour for the government, social organizations and students to work in close co-operation for the advancement of the country.

Causes of students' failure in examinations

<br /> CAUSES OF STUDENTS' FAILURE IN EXAMS<br />

We all know how many students fail in different Board and University examinations each year.Surely, many more fail than the few who gain high positions and divisions, and the majority is of second and third-division holders. The pass percentage of most of the Matriculation,Intermediate, degree and post-graduate examinations ranges between 25 and 50.

First of all,the whole social and economic system or set-up in the country is responsible for the unpreparedness of the majority of our students.Their upbringing, training and guidance at their homes are such that they are not in the habit of learning their subjects regularly.

Secondly, the activities and engagements of the parents and near relations of our students do not let them watch, attend to and guide their sons and daughter studying in different educational institutions. The inattention to their regular studies and activities makes them careless.

Thirdly,a great majority of our students do not study seriously and prepare for their examinations devotedly because of the uncertain economic conditions and the uncertain future. They know and feel that the employment opportunities after the completion of their studies, except in some subjects, are few and far between. Therefore, they do not have any strong incentive for studies.

First of all,it is the foremost duty of our government and responsible institutions to inform, educate and,if possible, train the parents of as many of our students as possible. The parents should be informed, through the mass media, about the best ways of leading their children to studies and intellectual progress. The adults then can motivate their children to study different subjects according to their liking and capacities.

Secondly, the parents should set aside time out of their daily engagements to watch educational and other activities of their children and to guide them if they can.Only through attention to their children can they hope to keep them on the right path.

Thirdly, the government and all responsible institutions in the country should try to create as many job opportunities and situations for the students as possible. For this purpose, new factories and production centers should be opened in all corners of the country.Trade, both national and foreign, should be expanded. The renewed industrial and commercial activity will create jobs for educated and qualified as well as for all manner of uneducated and unskilled workers. In this hopeful situation, students will like to study with effort, and will prepare themselves for examinations with care.

Vocational or professional education

<br /> "PROFESSIONAL OR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION"<br />

Vocational or professional education is that provided to students going to join definite professions. Is also offered to those already working in these professions or vocations.Vocational education is different from general education of the arts and the sciences.

Vocational education is of different kinds. It may be technical for those intending to engage in industrial work.It may be agricultural for those going agricultural or farming as a profession. Then,it can be education or the engineering, medical, legal, teaching, business, banking, insurance and other professions.

Vocational education is generally given in vocational or professional schools, colleges or universities. In industrial or technical schools, the basic skills in the use of different machines and the processes of maintaining, working and repairing them are taught.Such schools may also have classes for ordinary workers and helpers working on different kinds of machines, carpenters making furniture of a high quality, tailors, painters, welders, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, handicraft works etc.

Our education system should aim at expanding technical or professional education.Under the system, technical subjects can be introduces in the arts colleges.Students can be imparted special professional training in the fields of industry, agricultural business, education, electronics, dairy farming, vegetable farming, nursing, etc.

Our country needs properly educated and trained engineers, mining experts, scientists, and technicians for quick development and scientific progress. We require properly trained teachers, lawyers, bankers, business experts, journalists and so on for quick social and cultural progress. We can have these through vocational education in different fields.

Both men and women should try to receive suitable professional education. Our country will make rapid progress when most of our people can work efficiently in their professions.

School education in pakistan

<br /> "AN ESSAY ABOUT "SCHOOL EDUCATION IN PAKISTAN"<br />

For a developing country like ours, education is necessary for all kinds of progress.Benjamin Disraeli,a famous British Prime Minister, said in 1874,
"upon the education of the people of this country the fate of this country depends".
This very well applies to Pakistan where about 75% people or more are still uneducated. It is school education that needs to be modernized and streamlined(systematized)if we want to achieve any respectable level of progress and development in any part of this century.Let us examine the condition of school education here in its basic details.

The school sector of education is divided into the kindergarten, the primary stage and the middle and higher school stages. When a baby is sent to a kindergarten or nursery at the age of 4 to 6,his education begins to have permanent impressions on him.Psychologically, the mind of a child is the most receptive and impressionable at the earliest age.Except for the very rich people,it is not possible for an ordinary person to send his small children to standard kindergartens for their very basic education and training.

The next stage of our school education is the primary stage from Class I to Class V.We know quite well how the rich send their children to well-established English schools where education is given in English except for the subjects of Urdu and Islamic studies. The poor children get admitted to ordinary government schools, common private schools and religious academies, maintained by mosques or religious centers. The children in the English schools learn English very well and are taught the sciences and arts in modern ways.

The courses of studies in Class IX and Class X are, more or less,a continuation of the courses of Class VI to VIII.While all the science and arts subjects have the matriculation courses in standard form,it is surprising that the students complain of difficulties in learning mathematics, physics, chemistry, and other science subjects. These are not easily understandable,as they have been introduced without proper arrangements for their teaching. That is why the students find it difficult to understand all their parts without special guidance in private coaching centers.

Industrial or technical education

<br /> A BEST ESSAY ON INDUSTRIAL EDUCATION<br />

Industrial or technical education means education about different kinds of machines ,their parts and their repairs.Students learn in industrial and technical schools and workshops how to maintain machines, what oils to use in them and how to check their working mechanically with modern equipment. In order to use computerized machinery, computer education up to certain levels is also necessary. The use of computers and the best mechanical processes in the operation of machine increases production or output and income. The efficient working of machines as individual units leads us to the setting up of plants, factories or industries which are nothing but groups of machines of the same kind engaged in the production of the same kinds of goods. Thus,China,a world of industrial power, has set up machines in groups in different areas that industrially trained labor operates and controls in regular and planned ways.We can do the same provided that we have first-rate industrial labor.

Why do we require industrial education so badly?Ours is an industrial age.We produce things of daily use like bicycles, radios,TVs,electric fans, cooling equipment like air-conditioners and refrigerators, agricultural equipment like tube-well engines and electric generators, sports goods, surgical instruments, and so on with different kinds of machines. We have well-established industries from which we get goods like sugar, cloth, medicines, shoes, furniture etc.We have started assembling cars, trucks, tractors, other vehicles and planes in big plants.Later,we shall be producing and exporting them. For all this industrial education is necessary.

Our defense industry needs specially trained technicians and workers.Special training institutions may be set up to meet the requirements of our armed forces in the production of arms and ammunition.

We may not need any foreign experts in our industrial establishments when we have well-educated and trained industrial professional workers.

The importance of scientific education

<br /> BEST ESSAY<br />

Ours is a scientific world. We have made use of scientific principles in almost every field of life of our practical life.We have made life easy and comfortably by developing machines and instruments that provide us the maximum comfort in the home and outside. At the same time,we have created possibilities of destroying ourselves and our civilization by developing complex weapons of wars. For all the positive and negative uses of science that we have to make,we need scientific knowledge of the highest order.

Firstly,we need scientific education that can promote our industrial development in the best possible ways.Scientific education,in this sense, should be given in two levels-for the smooth running and maintenance of the machines used in our factories and for the designing and production of new and more effective machines.

Secondly,we need to learn the latest methods of agricultural production. For this,we should have theoretical and practical knowledge of different methods of growing crops,of protecting the crops and plants from insects and diseases and of various ways of mechanical farming. We have special institutions like the Faislabad Agriculture University where students research on ways of improving food production and developing new varieties of food grains and fruits.

Thirdly, scientific knowledge is essential to the maintenance of communication-railway,air and sea transport, radio, television and telephone. We need people having specialized knowledge and training to maintain the whole system of communications.

Fourthly, scientific knowledge is needed to maintain private and public health.Continuous study and research in the advanced countries have resulted in the development of highly effective drugs and medicines that can cure most of our diseases. We,too, should have medical education of the highest order.

Scientific knowledge is needed even to maintain health and condition of the animals and birds under our care.We should be in touch with the latest research in medical science to keep our farm animals and birds in good health.

Fifthly, scientific knowledge is essential to the preparations of weapons of war.To defend ourselves and to remain prepared against foreign attacks we need to have modern technology. In this connection,we have made the best use of modern scientific knowledge for becoming a nuclear power.

In fact, the whole structure of our civilization rests on scientific knowledge. We should offer scientific education of the highest order and on modern lines in our schools, colleges and universities.

Adult education

<br /> "ADULT EDUCATION"A BEST ESSAY<br />

Adult education is education given to the adults or grown-up people of a country in different forms. It generally means teaching uneducated adults how to read and write. But it also means teaching them the ways of working efficiently in their different professions or places of work.It may also mean teaching them better ways of living, enjoying life or making use of their time.

Adult education is necessary in a country likes ours.About 75% of our adults are uneducated and illiterate. They cannot easily learn new ways of doing work in their different professions.Consequently, they cannot easily progress or earn much.

Through proper adult education, our working people can become more useful for the society and the country. They can serve their nation well by learning better ways of working on their jobs.Educated laborers can easily learn ways of working new machines. They can read books about the different techniques of production. Thus, they can become efficient industrial workers and can increase the production of their country.

Educated adults know or understand their rights and duties and the laws of the country much better than uneducated people. They can read newspapers and magazines and can learn about social and natural problems. They can discuss the political, social and economic aims of the government and the programs of political parties. Then they can elect the most suitable candidates for for positions of power.

Minister, members of Parliament and the Provincial Assemblies, educationists, social workers and economic experts should discuss the ways of educating the common people in the mass media.

Under the national education plan, literacy centers can be set up in every part of the country. All kinds of buildings, like those of schools, factories,Union Council Halls, hotels, restaurants and government offices can be used.Temporary structures for teaching can be erected, especially in the villages.Teaching can be more effective through television and radio programs, films, discussions and practical demonstrations of teaching materials.

Our schools, colleges and universities can provide adult education.Special classes for adults can be held there after the regular classes are over. There adults can be taught languages like Urdu and English.

In India, apart from lack of education among the younger generation there is also the problem of adult illiteracy. Many people in India do not receive educationn because of poverty, lack of educational facilities or social conditioning, especially in case of girls. The Nation Literacy Mission(of India) was started in 1988 and they have many adult education programs now running in all over the India. The aim was to provide functional literacy to ten crore people by the year 1997.Thus,many adult education centers and libraries have been opened. Many non-conventional methods like theatres are being used to help make adults literate, particularly in villages. Many voluntary agencies have done good work in this field

Universal education

<br /> "UNIVERSAL OR ELEMENTARY EDUCATION"<br />

Universal education means education for all the people of the country. It means educating the entire nation-men,women and children in the cities, villages and at all places. There is a great need to educate our people.More than 70% of our people are still uneducated.

If most of our people get educated, they can understand the value of unity and discipline. They can co-operate in different fields of life. They can understand and work for their own high aims and those of their nation and country. They can understand and obey the law of the land and become good citizens.

Universal education is urgently needed in the present social and political context of terrorism.Terrorism can be checked and brought to an end only in three ways-by providing economic equality, equal chances of progress and proper universal education to the people in the shortest time.

Educated people can understand the political problems of their country and those of other countries. They can follow the policies of their government. They can also follow the programs of different political parties. In elections, they can wisely vote for those political parties or candidates whose programs or policies they find to be beneficial and useful.

Universal education will enable our people to make proper industrial, agricultural and technical progress.Educated people prove to be more efficient and useful than uneducated people.

We should open big education centers at central places in villages, towns and cities. These centers should having morning, afternoon and night classes. All kinds of buildings, even those of banks, government offices, clubs, shopping centers, besides those of schools and colleges can be used for classes on holidays and at late hours.

There can be a common fund for universal education.Rich landowners, industrialists, banks and commercial organizations should contribute to this fund. The government can levy a special tax on people with higher incomes to meet the expenses of universal education. Then the government can itself provide money from its treasury.

Universal education will bring the light of knowledge to many of our dark homes. The government and the people should co-operate to make universal education a possibility and a fact.

An ideal college

<br /> "AN IDEAL COLLEGE"<br />

It is in the interest of students and teachers to have ideal or perfect colleges in different parts of the country. Most colleges, which are quite imperfect and defective in several respects, will then try to become perfect like the ideal colleges.

First of all,an ideal college is ideally or most suitably located. It is quite far from the crowded city or town life, but not so distant as to make it difficult or expensive for students to reach it.

Secondly,an ideal college has several blocks fulfilling the requirements of different subjects. The arts block has several departments housed in separate sub-blocks.For example,English,Urdu,Persian,Arabic, etc.have their departments with the staff of the individual subjects with their heads sitting in separate rooms. The classrooms for the subjects are in these sub-blocks.

The science block,in addition to having classrooms and offices, has modern laboratories. The latest scientific apparatus and equipment available. The students, with the help of their teachers,go on experimenting on new methods and procedures. In physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, and other science subjects the students and teachers go on learning the results of studies and research in the advanced countries. The libraries of these departments have the best books published all over the world in English. Some translations of these books into Urdu are also available.

Computer teaching and training has special importance. The college maintains computer center of international standards. The students learn the latest computer programs. They are also taught computer technology and the maintenance of computer hardware and software. They are prepared for the manufacture of these in factories.

The ideal college of the above description has the best facilities of sports. The playgrounds are vast and well maintained.Players get special and prolonged training in sports, especially in cricket, hockey, football and swimming.

The ideal college promotes public speaking of the highest order. It trains students, through debates and public discussions of national problems and issues,to become later national leaders and parliamentarians.

My favorite book

<br /> MY FAVORITE BOOK<br />

Books are really a superb source of knowledge. They soothe us in sorrows and solace us in sadness. They are in invaluable asset for humans. They prove to be sincere companions in solitude and seclusion. Our character building depends mainly upon the right selection of books. Therefore,we should be very cautions in the selection of books. As good books leave good impact upon soul, bad books may mar our character. Therefore,we should shun bad books from our life.

I have read several books.Though i like many books,my favorite book is the Holy Quraan. The Holy Quraan is the last script of Allah. It was revealed on last Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW approximately fifteen centuries ago.Since then it is intact and unharmed.None can alter or change even a verse of It.God Himself undertook the task of Its safety and security. It is the miracle of Quraan that a Muslim can learn and remember It easily.Every Muslim in the world recites It daily.Millions of Muslims remember It correctly and distinctively.

It contains mere truths and realities. It is a complete code of life.It is an ultimate source of guidance and instructions. Its teachings are evergreen and eternal. It gives information and instructions about every sphere of life.It gives an exhaustive commentary on religion, ethics, politics, science, philosophy, logic, psychology, economics and nature.Every aspect of life has been discussed in it.It highlights all branches of knowledge. It urges man to ponder over nature and discover new and novel laws of the universe.

The Holy Quraan is a message of peace and amity. It teaches parity, justice, honesty, truthfulness and piety. It lays concrete foundations for a civilized and cultured society. It ends discrimination on the bases of caste, color or family. It preaches that all men are equal. They are offspring of Adam. The honored and successful are those who are virtuous and honest.

An exhaustive discussion on belief, worship, business and morality is the subject matter of the Holy Quraan. The stories of various prophets of Allah have also been discussed in detail.

I daily recite It early in the morning. It leaves a tremendous impact upon my soul.It purifies my thoughts and spiritualizes my soul.As a result I have shunned all vices and wicked deeds from my dealings.I have revised my life altogether.I also do penance for my previous evil deeds.May Allah take pity on me and forgive my sins!May He also grant me power to fight against the prevailing evils!.

Our examination system

<br /> OUTSTANDING ESSAY<br />

Education makes life worth living.A country without a proper system of education can make no progress.Only the educated and skilled people can pave the way to progress. For good education,an adequate system of examination is necessary.Unfortunately, our system of examination is not satisfactory. It is replete with faults.

The current system of education is such as tests the memory of the students. It is not a fair test of knowledge, understanding and comprehension. The questions asked in the examination are not such as may promote the inborn faculties of students. The usual practice among the students is to learn everything by heart without complete comprehension of it.This is practiced in the present system of examination.Though the students pass the examination in this way, they cannot develop their awareness greatly.

Furthermore, the method of evaluation of scripts is faulty.Every examiner has his particularly outlook, temperament and a specified way of observation.Even the atmosphere affects the mood of examiners. As a result, the assessment is somewhat personal and therefore inaccurate. Moreover, the questions asked in the examination are subjective;they cannot be awarded exact marks

In our country, the climate is of extreme kind. The examination take place usually in hot summer. The scorching heat leads to several troubles. The students cannot concentrate fully on their studies. They have to go to the examination hall in the scorching heat of summer. Moreover, our academic terms are short because of extreme weather conditions.Consequently, the students cannot read their course fully. This also adds to the difficulties of the students in the examination.

I have some suitable suggestions for the improvement of our examination system.

First, the examinations should be held in spring season so that the students may work in the pleasant weather conditions. This will enable the students to focus their attention on studies. This would also increase the length of the academic year.Second, the question papers should be set in such a way as they should be a real test of the students' knowledge and insight.

Third, the declaration of result should be prompt and quick. This will save the time of the students.Even the length of the academic term would be increased.

Fourth, the students securing outstanding positions should be awarded prizes. They should be honored with scholarships. This will increase the passion for study among the students.I hope that the government would take prompt steps in this regard.

An ideal teacher

<br /> BEST ESSAY<br />

Teaching is an well-planned presentation of facts, ideas and skills to students. And the person who does this is called a teacher.A teacher usually enjoys a noble status in society. He is considered to be a model of decent values. He bears a flawless character. He showers knowledge upon everyone. He instills great social and cultural values into humans. He works like a lighthouse. He emits bright beams of knowledge to enlighten the gloomy hearts.Briefly speaking,a teacher plays a vital role in the making of a nation.

The first quality of a teacher is that he appeals to the hearts and souls of the students. He urges them to probe into their souls. He reveals that the knowledge of self is the knowledge of God.To study "self" is really a difficult task.It requires deep devotion and great wisdom. Therefore, an ideal teacher helps his students to develop the qualities of self-knowledge,self-control and self-esteem.

An ideal teacher gives his students an artistic vision. He arouses in them a strong passion for work and knowledge. As a result, the students' imagination burns into fames .They begin to see beyond the bounds of heaven and earth. They become keen to see the unseen. They become eager to discover the hidden treasures of knowledge.

An ideal teacher must be a paragon of beauty that gives pleasure to the senses.A teacher without forceful personality and decent manners is just like a barren land.Education without good moral values is like a dry fountain. Therefore a teacher must bear a good moral character. He must be a model for his students. They would certainly follow his habits and manners.

An ideal teacher must have full command of his subject. He must have a thorough knowledge and core skills of imparting knowledge.Effective communication is the lifeblood of teaching profession. The teacher must convey his feelings, ideas and thoughts to his students effectively.A free-flowing discussion,a simple speech and a logical presentation of ideas are the vital factors that make communication forceful. And an ideal teacher must possess all these attributes.Pliny the Younger,a Roman politician and writer says:"The living voice is that which sways the soul."

Briefly speaking,a teacher must use great teaching techniques. He must prepare a well-organized lesson plan.He must arrange tutorial groups. He must make his students leading sportsmen, useful citizens and great scholars.I end this article with the words of Henry Adams:"A teacher affects eternity;he can never tell where his influence stops."

Our education system

<br /> HIGHER STANDARD ESSAY<br />

Education is responsible for the entire progress of man.It has made man cultured and civilized.Without education, man would have been worse than the wild beasts. All the equipment of ease and entertainment is due to education.Education is of many kinds.Professional education, technical education, scientific education and artistic education are some of them.No man can be perfect in all the branches of knowledge. Therefore, every man chooses his own field of studies according to his taste.

Our current education system cannot cope with the demands of science and technology. It was established many years ago.At that time,it might have been consistent with the needs of the age;but now it appears to be fully outdated. It should be revised and improved according to the new challenges of the world.

In our country, the principal purpose of education is to procure a job. This is not possible without professional, technical and scientific knowledge. On the other hand, the course of studies does not provide practical knowledge of science and technology. Moreover, the economy of our country is not so stable as to offer employment to every educated young man.Besides, the graduates of our country are not skilled professionals or technically trained. They are good for nothing. They hate menial work. Thus they remain unemployed. The unemployed youth can easily fall victim to social evils. Thus, instead of becoming useful citizens, they turn out to be criminals. It is an admitted fact that an evil generates other evils. Thus the whole society yields to corruption, theft, murder, kidnapping and terrorism. To prevent such a horrible situation,we must take solid steps to modify our education system. The following steps may be helpful in this regard.

First, technical and professional training should be initiated without any more delay. The level of education should be raised .It is true that the knowledge of literature and fine arts brings us joy but it cannot procure an honorable job for us.Thus with the study of arts,we should get professional training as well.

Second, system of examination should be improved and bettered. The universities should not be generous in issuing degrees. The examination should be the real test of awareness and knowledge.Government should take solid steps for the eradication of cheating in examination. The lowest qualification limit should be 50% marks instead of 33%.

Third, the teachers should be trained properly. They should be expert and skillful in their respective fields. The salaries of the teachers should be handsome so that they may pay full attention to their duty without facing any financial problems. The government must realize that without improving the standard of education,no progress can be made in any field.

My last day at college

<br /> AN INFORMATIVE AND INTERESTING ESSAY<br />

A college is a place where young generation of a nation sees dreams of golden future. Some young boys and girls work hard to materialize these dreams. In every case,a college student develops an emotional and close association with college. He loves and likes every thing of it.All students become like a family in college. They do not like to separate from one another. But a day comes when they have to leave the college and everything about it.It is the time of real sadness for them.It is very sad moment to go through but life continues.

I also remember my last day at college. It was a pleasant day of 30th April 1986,but it was a gloomy day for me.I and all my friends were aware of the hard reality that we were about to leave the college after all. This separation was so painful, sad and depressing for all of us.Throughout our college stay,we had been so cheerful and excited. We never entertained any idea that a day would come to separate us like that. Some of us were so emotional that they started weeping. Some had tears in their eyes but they controlled themselves. We decided to depart in the same joyful mood as we had been living for the last four years.

First of all,we planned to meet all our teachers. We obtained their autographs in our diaries. After this we had a round of the college to see every nook and corner of corner of it.Then we met our Vice Principal who gave us character certificates. We also met the Principal who advised us to be honest and hard working in life. Then we went to a hotel. We dined together there. In the evening,we went to our college hostel, packed our luggage and got ready to go our homes. It was the time to say good bye to one another. We embraced and another for the last time. Some of us could not control themselves and began to weep bitterly. Finally,we departed with the hope that we would meet again somewhere some day. This is how I spent my last day at college.

Pleasures of college life

<br /> ESSAY ABOUT COLLEGE LIFE<br />

In our country most of the young boys romanticize college life.A college is taken for a symbol of infinite liberty, luxury, enjoyment and adventure.Only a few students enter college to learn something. Most of the students get admission to avail themselves of the freedom found there. But there are certain students who are serious in their studies. They are hard working. They have lofty and sublime aims. Some students of this category intentionally avoid the pleasures of college life.We find few students who enjoy college life as well as studies and get positions.

College is a place full of fanciful dreams and glamor. When a teenager enters a college he or she thinks himself or herself an outstanding figure of society. It is simply because of the charms, attractions and pleasures of college life.

First of all,the students enjoy the changed atmosphere and attitude.A college student is mature enough to compare school life with college life.He sees the kind and the generous attitude of professors while the behavior of school teachers was always harsh and insulting.A college pleases students in a number of ways. They wear clean clothes and polished shoes.A student feels himself free from all bindings and fetters. He avails himself of all the opportunities and feels relaxed.Another pleasure of college life is vast range of co-curricular activities.Students get better chances to study library books. They may ask learned professors about anything. And in this way, they may quench their thirst of knowledge without difficulty.Quiz programs, various competitions in the field of Qirat,Naat Khani,Debates, poetry, games and athletics create competitive environment.A large number of clubs, societies, associations and college union produce young leadership for society. All these activities are a part of fun, pleasure, entertainment and enjoyment. These inculcate the students with a sense of thrill and fervor.

Shakespeare has rightly said that there is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.The same quotations may be applied to those who spoil themselves in college. They are absorbed in the intoxicating fancies of college life. They go beyond their basic aim and are distracted from the real objective. They go astray and fall victim to aimlessness. They should keep their eyes and mind open in order to learn and enjoy the pleasures of college life i.e.academic.If a student knows his rights and duties,he can enjoy the pleasures of college as well as can get position in his examination.

Co-education

<br /> THE WORLD OF ENGLISH<br />

Co-education is a system of education in which students of both the sexes receive their education in the same classrooms, school, college or university. Present life-style has become highly complex. Education must always reflect the changing attitude of the age. Now the role of both men and women has expanded in life.the society must provide them with an adequate structure of education.

The idea of co-education in our country has become a controversial issue. The supporters of this education system heap up big arguments in its favor. They advocate its practice at large scale. While another group of people consider it a deadly weapon against the golden Islamic and social traditions. A heated argument given in favor of this system is that our country is a developing country. The economy of our country is weak. It cannot bear the expenses of separate educational institutions particularly at high level. Therefore, we should adopt co-education at least at higher level of studies.

Second, this system promotes tough competition between the boys and girls in studies. It arouses a passion for work in them. The girls try to beat the boys and vise versa. It is due to this stiff competition that the students show great skills in learning.

Third,co-education promotes character building activities for the youngsters. It helps the students to develop their character larger-than-life. They become sensible and wise. They learn how to resist their emotions of sex. Moreover,it makes the coarse boys modest and cultured. They learn to respect girls. On the other hand, girls develop a kind of confidence. They become less weak and timid. In this way, both succeed in creating a pleasant environment for education. On the other hand, there are those who oppose this system of education. They are of the opinion that no golden traditions of nobility can exist in societies where co-education is in fashion. It is inexpedient to say that co-education promotes co-operation and understanding between men and women. Instead, they are sexually attracted to each other . The young boys and girls fall prey to the uncontrollable passions of sex. This is why many of the school girls in Europe and america become unmarried mothers. The purpose of education is to prepare the youth for life. The duties of women from those of men. Therefore, the syllabus for women should be different from that for men. Moreover, the natural faculties of both the sexes are largely different. Therefore, they should not be taught the same syllabus in the same institution.
The most potent argument advanced by co-education lovers is that it can help both girls and boys in the development of their personality. They can come out of their enclosed shell-like personality and get rid of their unwarranted hesitation and shyness.

In ancient times, co-education was prevalent in Greece. Today, this system of education is there in almost all the countries of the world. It is economical. It generates a spirit of comradeship between boys and girls. The problem of shortage of trained teachers can be dealt with by this system. Boys overcome their curiosity and girls, their shyness. They learn to respect one another. Though a few conservative people are against this system, their view do not hold ground. Co-education generates harmonious relationship, a sense of cooperation, and thus, helps in the progress of the nation.

In fact,co-education is a western concept in its nature. Its main purpose is to end the modesty of women by persuading them to join the gaiety of the club;most important of all,our religion Islam does not allow the free mixing of boys and girls. Therefor, separate institutions should be set up for both the sexes.

Libraries

<br /> Superb essay on "Libraries"<br />

With the spread of literacy, libraries have become essential tools for learning. Public instruction is making rapid progress everywhere in Pakistan. It is no more the privilege of the well-to-do only to acquire knowledge as it was so very long ago. There are schools and colleges in almost every part of the country. Twenty first century dawns with a sure promise to be a century of peace and educational explosion.

The earliest known library was discovered Iraq and belonged to the ancient civilization in summer. They didn't use paper books but instead wrote everything on clay tablets using a style of writing called cuneiform. These tablets are over 5000 years old. The library of Alexandria,in Egypt, was the largest and most important library of the ancient world. It was destroyed when the Romans conquered Egypt in 30 BC.Rome's first public library was established by asinius polio who was a lieutenant of julius caesar. Eventually Rome would build 28 public libraries within the city. When the roman empire fell in 330 ad,many books went east to the city of Byzantium where the large library was built. Other libraries were built in monasteries and public homes.

Libraries began to appear in many Islamic cities where science and philosophy survived after the fall of roman empire.surprisingly, christian monks and Islamic libraries exchanged books to copy. These books eventually made there way back to the west and helped start the renaissance. European universities began the practice of creating academic libraries at this time for the use of their students.

Naturally when there is thirst for knowledge ,there is also an ever-increasing demand for books and magazines. Everybody does not have the means to buy books of all sorts. Mass education program is bound to suffer adversely if there are no free libraries for students.

Our school libraries are not functioning properly. There are practically no reading or borrowing facilities. There is no whole-time staff for libraries. Above all, there is no incentive to read general books or fictions. The few books that may be there in the dusty old almirahs stink awfully. This is mainly so for want of fresh air in the stuffy, locked cupboards. More often the books are just old title,moth-eaten and worn out.
Special libraries are those libraries that are not public libraries or academic libraries. They are usually small. Many times a special library holds books on a particular subject or even a special kind of book. Some special libraries keep just old books. A special library can be owned by a business for use only by that business.

A librarian is a person who works in a library. Librarians help people find books and information. They can teach people how to find books and use the library. A professional librarian is a person who went to school to study library science. They can earn a degree called a masters in library science.

Libraries obviously play an important role in creating a genuine loves for books and interest in current affairs. Their reading room promote a spirit of discipline, research and fellowship. Libraries with a variety of attractive titles have a healthy, beneficial effect on the eager minds of students.

Libraries are essential in a process of giving citizens access to knowledge. In digital times they are needed more than ever before.

Get your library card and you will be able to borrow a print or electronic book, use free internet, or attend a course improving your digital skills.

Most importantly, however, libraries are the places where you can expect smart and clear answers to even most difficult questions. As Neil Gaiman says: " google can bring you back 100000 answers,a librarian can bring you back the right one."

In times of the internet, everyone can visit a library without leaving home. It's just a matter of opening a library's website, and you can not only borrow an ebook, but also ask the librarian an online question.

I have visualized some of the quotes to let you easier share them in social networks-and promote libraries to a growing community of online addicts.

An original idea. That cannot be too hard. The library must be full of them.
-Stephen Fry
To build up a library is to create a life.It is never just a random collection of books.
-Carlos Maria Dominguez

When I got my library card, that's when my life began.
-Rita Mae Brown

There are different types of books in the library. These books are costly and the students get the opportunity to read such rich treasures of wisdom. Students can consult various books and make academic notes. In this way, they can prepare themselves for examination. Students can use reference books such as dictionaries, encyclopedia, etc. to complete their project work. Students can enhance their knowledge by going through the books of knowledge. Students can learn about moral and virtues by reading the best stories of the world.

General rules of Libraries:There are certain rules of the libraries.

  • Maintain silence:
  • The first rule is the golden rule of silence. While studying in the reading room, students are not permitted to talk or disturb others in any way.

  • Carefully handling of books:
  • Besides of this rule of silence, students are to handle the books carefully. Students are not to deface or damage the books lent to them.
