Pakistan and India Relations
Essay for speech on 14th August on Pak-Indo relations
The relations between Pakistan and India have been subject to many strains by numerous political dilemmas in history and currently as well, they include the Partition of British India in 1947,the Kashmir dispute and the many military conflicts which have been fought between the two states. These two states of South Asia share historic, cultural, geographic and economic links but their relationship has been filled with hostility and doubt.

During the times of Independence Jinnah and Gandhi had overheated discussions, moreover around five hundred thousand Muslims and Hindus were murdered in riots following the partition.Millions of Muslims living in India and Hindus and Sikhs living in Pakistan emigrated,it was a massive transmissions of population till today. Both states accused the other of not providing enough security to the minorities that were emigrating, this increased hostility amongst the two new nations.

In terms with the British Plan for Partition, all the princely states had the right to decide which country to join. With an exception of a few, most of the Muslims-majority princely state joined Pakistan, and most of Hindu-majority princely state joined India. But,the decisions of one of the Princely state would shape the relationship between the two countries in the future that lay ahead.

Over all with the British Raj leaving in 1947,two sovereign states were born, the Union of India and the Dominion of Pakistan. This partition from the British displaced around 12.5 million people and there were many losses to lives some say a hundred thousand while others say a million.Pakistan was established as an Islamic Republic and India became a secular nation.

After the Independence,India and Pakistan had formed diplomatic relations but the effects of the fierce partition and territorial conflicts kind of suppressed the diplomatic relationship.Since Partition the two countries have fought three wars with each other, one war was undeclared, they also have been involved in various armed skirmishes and military standstills.Besides the Indo-Pakistan War in 1971 which resulted in the creation of Bangladesh, the conflict with Kashmir has been central to all these wars and issues between the two states.

Steps have been taken many at times to better the relations between the two neighbors these include the Agra Summit,Shimla Summit and the Lahore Summit. After 1980 there was hostility between the two nations mainly because of the Siachen conflict, the worsening of the Kashmir insurgency in 1989,the nuclear tests of India and Pakistan in 1998 and in 1999 the Kargil War.Other confidence building measures such as the 2003 ceasefire and the Delhi Lahore Bus service were victorious in improving relations. However the terrorist attacks that occur have ruined such efforts. The attack on the Indian Parliament in 2001 almost started a nuclear war between the two states. The bombings in 2007 of the Samjhauta express in which 68 people were killed who were mostly Pakistanis. These events have soured the peace talks immensely.

Pakistan's Independence Day 14th August
Topic for speeches on 14th August
14th August may be a pretty normal day for majority of nations in this world but it is perhaps the most important day for the Muslims living in sub-continent as it is the day when they were able to achieve their dream land after a long hard struggle in the form of "Islamic Republic of Pakistan" in 1947.An Independent country where they can live freely according to their religious teachings and cultural values.Pakistan came into existence after a restless and full of sacrifices Pakistan Movement let by All-India Muslim League under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The biggest challenge during the freedom movement was to bring all Muslims at one platform and lead them in the direction of one specific goal. This hurdle was overcomed by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with the help of several visionary colleagues like Allama Iqbal,Muhammad Ali Johar and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. The name Pakistan was made by combining the separate words "Pak" meaning Pious and "Stan" meaning Homeland.

The Muslims living in Pakistan celebrates this important day with a lot of enthusiasm and rejoice their happiness with friends and families. The independence day is celebrated in various ways at all levels in the country. The main ceremony takes place in the capital of the country Islamabad, where national flag is hoisted at Presidential and Parliament buildings. The national anthem is played live on television nationwide along with speeches by top leaders of the country including President and Prime-Minister.Apart from this, several more Parades, cultural events and flag-raising ceremonies are held in different parts of the country.

People also have their own ways of celebrating the Independence day at individual level.National flags are hoisted at the of houses and on vehicles, children wear white and green dresses to show their love for the country and families visit national monuments like Quaid-e-Azam's Mausoleum,Minar-e-Pakistan and Badshahi Mosque paying tribute to the lost heroes who sacrificed everything for Pakistan.Patriotic songs are played, various Independence day special programs are aired on television and elders tell freedom movement stories to children so that they know how much struggle their forecasters have done to change the dream of Pakistan in reality.

The 14th August has arrived once again so celebrate it with complete passion and patriotism to let the world know that we are still a one strong nation. The nation that our great leader Muhammad Ali Jinnah wanted us to be,the nation that stands together in every difficult moment and the nation who is willing to sacrifice even their lives in order to protect their land from any possible threat.

The Progress of Mankind
Best Essay on Progress of Mankind
The evolution of mankind has been the most developing feature of this world,as we being human beings have always been on the road of progress in all the sections of the life, history stating that the human beings were apes, many of the contradictions on this theory do exists but let us suppose if that would have been true then it means that the progress of the mankind has made its way from an animal to the human beings, but let us stop and think for some while that whether this progress is repeating itself, whether we are shifting back to the animal, the mankind is in a continuous progress but the progress is getting more and more self centered and restricted towards our own soul and body, that has contributed in claiming that human beings are the social animals.

The Progress of Mankind

No doubt our progress has touched the skies if we consider in the areas of education, technology, communication, transportation and many more, but do we have any progress in fact any positive progress in building relationships, feeling for each others, respecting the dignity of others or even protecting the lives, property and self-esteem of the fellow human beings, unfortunately, mankind in these specific sections have demoted themselves and have made the situation even worse than our forefathers and the history of mankind.

The progress of mankind in making the life more easier and comfortable is appreciated as they have evolved to such a generation where everything is possible and this all is being simple due to the progress of mankind, but still in the world we are observing and witnessing that whether is progress is doing any good to the mankind,or it is creating more and more troubles for the unity and the solidarity of the human beings.

United States of America being the most developed country in the world, which has a stable economy and is considered to be the super power which have contributed the most in the progress of mankind, but their actions outside America are producing this hypothesis that they are not making the progress for the mankind but they are working against the progress of mankind and the real time examples are their wars in Iraq,Afghanistan and in Syria. What they are doing,is simply against the interests of the mankind so that is very cruel and bitter fact but can be assumed and evaluated very instantly is that the progress of mankind is making human beings more and more selfish and brutal which is simply against the interest of the mankind,as the people of this world even don't have common interests left anymore.
