The person I dislike most

In this wide world if immeasurable spaces and distances are living human beings of diverse kinds and categories.We come to like many whom we come into contact with,hate many others whom we know intimately or distantly and cannot decide about others whom we cannot tell about so very exactly.Personally speaking,I began hating a certain individual,Mr.M.M.M. Saghir,several years ago.He is my neighbor living at the turn of our street in a thickly populated area of our city.

Well,I hate him so much that I cannot easily enumerate all the causes.Some I describe,and among them stand out his habits and behavior.Mr. Saghir's most hateful habit is to backbite his friends and relations.His talk is sweet like his voice,but the context of his talk is so venomous that his friends turn foes in no time.He would put the following familiar questions to the unlucky woman whom he comes across by choice.
"Madam,you look very bright today.How old are you,by the way?"
If the lady says"Not so old as you think.And how about you?".He would answer,"I am about forty-two.But,I look young for my age".Mr. M.M.M. would continue,"Madam,I have heard you are still unmarried at this mature age.God help you."The lady hearing this nasty remark would either leave his company at once or give a reply very devastating for M.M.M."Look at your stomach that is bulging out,your beard that has almost all gone grey,both very unfit for a confirmed bachelor that you are."

Thirdly,Mr. M.M.M. Saghir is a great nuisance for his close neighbors who can no more stand his quarrels with his younger brother and mother and the loud noise of his TV and compact disc player.Almost everyone curses him for the noises that he raises and the fights that he maintains until late at night.He has often been heard demanding lots of money from his mother who owns the house and other property.
"Then,mother,give me this last bit of five thousand, and then put a lid on your treasure."

"You,rogue,what last bit,what treasure?.You a good-for-nothing as you never study nor work.My treasure that it once was has been spent more than half on you.And nothing has gone to N.N.N. Joshi,your innocent young mother and I.I.I. Mariana,your sweetie little tiny baby tot."

It is heard about half-a-dozen marriage homes are in the run for his marriage arrangement in expectation of a promised fat reward,which,in all probability,might not be forthcoming.All these stories about Mr. M.M.M. have brought his reputation to the lowest disgraceful,foreseeable ebb.

The person I like most

The world is full of all kinds of people whom we meet day in and day out.Some we like and others we dislike for various reasons.Those who like leave some pleasant,impressions on our minds.If we meet them repeatedly,those impressions become deeper,and we begin liking them all the more.At home,who can be closer and dearer than one's mother whom one sees again and again and wants to see yet again?.

My mother is not dear to me alone,she is liked by all who know her.Children love her and grownups respect her for the basic reason that she loves all and sundry.Most mothers love their own children dearly,but,unlike them,she loves others' children as if they were her own.

My mother's ability and knowledge,in fact, shine in her healthy face and eyes.Her face is the true index of her mind,which is full of deep and pleasant ideas.Beautiful and impressive her face is in all its glory and refinement.And perhaps more beautiful are her ideas that she expresses while teaching us or in the company of her friends and relations.

Perhaps the only fault of my mother is that she gets angry with people who oppose her in wrong ways.However,she forgets her anger very soon and starts thinking about them with the best intentions.She listens to them attentively as if nothing had happened.When anyone tells lies in her company and misbehaves,she advises him to be truthful in all situations and respectful towards elders.Luckily,others begin acting on her advice readily because of her high character and sound reputation.

The most beloved creature that mother is,we cannot find the like of her anywhere.She lives in our thoughts and passions as much as we live in hers.She is soul of our existence,the driving force of our life.May God bless her with his choicest bounties in this world and the next.

The tv program I like best

Though I like several TV programs,it is "Mauj Darya" that I like most.It is an interesting program that deals with our social problems.

We have this program every week in the evening, and when it starts,I run to my TV in joy.It is in the form of a series of plays,speeches,discussions,interviews,stories,songs and music.If one week we have drama,another week we have discussion,next we enjoy stories,and so on.The new "form" or "shape" of the program every week does not let it become boring.

The subjects of "Mauj Darya" are as different as the problems in our society.They can be unemployment,overpopulation,corruption in different forms,smuggling,black marketing,the use of drugs,housing problems,marriage problems,educational problems,the political situation in our country and in other countries,wars in different parts of the world,terrorism, and so on.

In a surprisingly pleasant manner,"Mauj Darya",at times,suggests quite a useful solution to our social problems.For example,in one of its educational sessions in made it quite clear that the main trouble with our country was illiteracy or ignorance.The question"How can we educate all our people well?" was discussed by teachers and brilliant college and universities students.They agreed that the country's social system stood in the way of "true education for all". It promoted terrorism and other lighter social evils.The end of the big landowners and capitalists could be the beginning of proper education.

The program brings to our knowledge the country's scientific and technological progress through interviews,discussions and demonstrations.It will be highly beneficial if we can view the latest scientific achievements around the world.For example,the progress of various computers,satellites,picture telephones,musical instruments and surgical methods can be presented or dramatized interestingly.

A song with excellent music is usually presented at the end of each program.It is purely artistic,and it pleases us with fine tunes,voices and verses.

Such a program can continue for a long time without becoming burden on the viewers.

Common sense and nuclear warfare

I have read a good many books of general interest.Of all these I like Bertrand Russell's "Common Sense and Nuclear Warfare"most.This book is of a small size,but contains deep thoughts.It provides useful information on the different problems and dangers of a great war.

Russell says that our world is faced with the danger of a great nuclear war.If a nuclear war takes place,atomic,hydrogen and other bombs and nuclear weapons will be used by the big powers.Nearly all the countries will be affected by this war.Most of them may get destroyed.

Russell rightly says that rulers or governments of powerful countries are making greater and greater preparations for a big war.They are spending huge amounts of money on producing nuclear weapons.Countries like America and Russia are preparing increasingly destructive weapons.It is possible that satellites sent into space by scientists may be armed with nuclear weapons.Even the moon can be used by the US or Russia for purposes of nuclear attacks on other countries.

Nations should stop having doubts about each other.Countries should stop trying to dominate others through war.

The most important part of Russell's book is about disarmament.He rightly says that all kinds of nuclear weapons should be prohibited.All the existing stocks of nuclear weapons should be destroyed.Their scientific centers or arms factories that can produce nuclear weapons should be open to inspection.

Russell wants the United Nations Organization to become truly powerful.It should be in a position to stop one nation from starting a war against another.There should be an International Authority having its strong armed forces.

Russell has written his book in a simple and interesting style.He explains his ideas well.We feel after reading the book that war is really extremely harmful and destructive.Russell has not discussed defensive wars,which may some time be proper.However,when all countries agree not to fight,even defensive wars will not be necessary.

Russell's book's,of course,worth reading.It teaches good lessons to the entire world.Let rulers and politicians act upon these for the good of their countries and mankind.

If I were born again

Sometime I have the desire to be born again into this world.Then I begin imagining(forming a picture in the mind of)what kind of person I would like to be if I really have another life.

I have done some very creditable things in my life.However,I have also committed mistakes like all human beings.I f I come to have another life,I would surely like to do better.

Firstly,I would like to do some good things of my life again.I would like to obtain all the knowledge I have acquired until now.I would like to form my good habits of life again.For example,I would like to have the habit of speaking the truth in all circumstances.I would like to have my habit of helping other people in difficulty.I would like to have the high aims I now have before him.I would once again desire to become a great writer,scholar and leader of my people.

In my new life,I would like to learn some other languages besides English,Urdu and Punjabi.For example,I would learn Arabic,Persian and the Chinese language to get familiar with the cultures of the eastern countries.Then I would like to travel to many eastern and western countries.Thus,I would learn about the social,political and economic conditions in different parts of the world.

If I born again,I would like to play some games that I have not played so far.For example,I would like to play football and tennis.I feel I have missed these in my present life.

I feel it is rather foolish to have all the ideas about my life after a second birth.I may still live for a great deal of time in this world.It may be better for me to think about it more and make my life better here.The present is in my hands,the future is a dream.
