The word "Accident" can be defined as a harmful happening resulting from human recklessness.Life is fleeting in its nature.Man is subject to unforeseen incidents.Though he takes proper steps for his safety,he cannot escape from fate.Life is uncertain,fleeting and unpredictible in its nature.Man is exceedingly conscious to adopt adequate measures for his security and safety;but in spite of his efforts and struggle, he cannot escape from the clutches of 'nature,red in tooth and claw'.
we daily observe accidents of various kinds occurring at different places all around the world.Thousands of people lose their precious lives in these accidents and many others are crippled for life.Perhaps this surging stream of human blood is not enough to satiate the unquenchable thirst of furious fate.We observe many accidents in life.Human being lose their lives,property and many other precious things in these accidents.They moan,sob,weep and wail but the unseen hand of fate does not take pity on them as Shakespeare says:
"As flies to wanton boys are we to the gods, they kill us for their sport" accidents are always terrible in their appearance.The accident I am going to narrate is dreadfully terrible.Once,my friends and I made a program to visit swat valley.The preparations were finalized within two days.On the third day,we started off our journey.We started early in the morning.All of us were excited and thrilled about our adventure.It was summer;the journey to Peshawar was boring.We took some rest there and then left for our destination.We hired a jeep and after a couple of hours,we were creeping on the frightening road of Malakand pass.The scenery around was very beautiful.The scenery around was amazingly captivating and mesmerizing.Lush green trees and flowery bushes were growing in abundance on the slopes of hills.Thin fleece-like clouds floating in the sky.The black clouds had covered the sky.Cool gentle breeze was blowing from the green hills .It fanned our faces and lifted our spirits.The road winding around the cliffs looked somewhat scary.But the sensations of excitement made the journey pleasant and delightful.Soon it began to drizzle.It was a pleasant journey.We all were enjoying in the fine weather. All of a sudden, two buses overtook us at a high speed.The drivers of these buses were driving carelessly.Suddenly,a truck appeared around the corner of a hill and struck against one of the buses.The other bus also struck against them and the three vehicles began to roll on the slopes of mountains.The shrieks of the ill-fated passengers were echoing in the mountains.We got down the taxi and rushed to help them.We got down the slope and reached the spot where the buses were lying entirely destroyed.No one needed our help as all passengers of the two buses had died.We were shocked and sad.Soon the police reached there and took away the dead bodies.We could go no further.We cancelled our program and returned heavy hearted. The effect of that accident was so shocking that whenever I recollect this regrettable accident I become deeply depressed.May the departed souls be blessed with eternal joys of heaven!.
