Television
BEST ESSAY FOR EXAMS
Television is one of the marvelous inventions of science. Indeed it is a magic box. Pictures and images flick across the screen and delight the viewers. The world of news and entertainment is moving very fast. Television and radio have come to stay in our lives.

Television is a wonderful invention of science. It is an important medium of instruction, education and entertainment. Television has become an addiction in modern times. Students prefer watch in entertainment programs rather than informative ones. Some of these programs contain a lot of vulgar stuff based on sex, crime and violence. They leave a bad impression upon the young minds. They lose interest in games and hobbies. Constant watching of the television affects the eyesight. Most children become obese as a result of being glued to the television. Children should be guided by the parents to lead a disciplined life.

Television is a very popular mode of entertainment today. In most of the homes ,we find the family members stuck to the television watching intently the programs showed. Television stands as the cheapest mode of wholesome entertainment. It provides the viewer with a wide selection of channels and programs with the help of cable network now readily available. Sometimes this wide variety of programs becomes the cause of an argument among family members as to which channel should be put on. Television is a good source of advertising for companies who want to promote their products. Day to day happenings and daily news is readily available at regular intervals on various channels. Reviews on various national events and live telecasts of sport events are also available. Thus, television provides the viewer with entertainment and awareness also.

Television programs in general and drama in particular have always fascinated me a lot. I should frankly admit that upto class 8 I would spend much of my time watching different programs. But now i am selective and see only what suits my taste.

I know that watching television for long is harmful for the eye-sight. Too much exposure to the flickering light damages the sight. Sitting before the set in an awkward position also causes pain in limbs. Neck bone and shoulders are also badly affected.

What i like most on television is "the world of nature". No other program can be that wonderful. Each program on nature, animals and landscape gives me a glimpse of the beautiful world. I feel like discovering the world in which i live,i feel i know very little of the vast world of wonderful forms. "the world of nature" program gives me a lot of information and understanding. Creation of so many moving objects is one of the sure signs of Allah almighty. One of the divine names of Allah is "Al-Musawwir". He is the creator, the painter, the originator of so many forms of beauty and their perfect proportions. "the national geographic" programs on television always bring to me a new glimpse of natural beauty.i love it. It is amazing indeed.

Television is a real wonder and one of the most important inventions of Modern Science. It is an important medium effectively shaping the destiny of the people.

Television with its imaginative programs can reach the people and make them see what is good for them and how they should attain the goal of prosperity.

The network of television i s have significant influence on the life of common people. The television programs are found to be catering to the needs of a large section of the people. The vast majority living in the cities, towns and villages and those in the district towns are using television. That makes it a symbol of status in the society.

Some television programs may have some educating values, but by and large these programs are stereotyped and the least imaginative, showing little interest in the process of regeneration.
